Hi, I am Lyanne Fellows. I am a full time teacher of art and also free-lance artist.
I am a mother to three fantastic and funny children.
I grew up mostly in the UK, graduated from secondary school in 1999 and promptly embarked on a meandering 6-year route through college and University. I started by taking Fashion and Textiles, which led me into a more experimental way of working, and I moved into fine art.
I began teaching Art in a small rural school in the midlands, this then federated with other schools and I soon found myself heading the art departments across the federation of schools. I then decided to travel and allow myself and my children the opportunity of other cultures. My favourite mediums are printing, textiles, painting and mixed media.
I'm inspired by textures, nature and space. Always a lifelong student, the world is my classroom and I draw inspiration from all I see around me. With each new piece of art that I create, my skills are continually challenged and expanded, and my concepts become richer and more fully defined. Like life, my creative endeavors are an endless learning process that is often surprising and always enriching.
