This week is 'Try something new week' students all gave a skill that they could teach others. We then had a class vote, and all decided that we would all be learning and trying American Football. A year 9 student planned a short lesson and during morning LEAD we as a class tried something new. Students loved doing this and I am sure they will use this as a starting block to continue trying new things and having new experiences in the future.
All agreed that with out trying new experiences we would not grow as people and would be stuck in the past..
Staff workshops 'Try something new.'
As part of 'try something new' week Staff were asked to volunteer a skill that they could do a workshop on to allow other staff the opportunity to try something new. I offered printmaking and it was a great turn out for the workshop. Always funny teaching a teacher, but these guys were star pupils and it was so much fun.
Hello everybody, my name is Lyanne Fellows. I am a mum to an 8 year old boy and five year old boy and girl twins. Before moving back to the North East I worked in Dubai as a teacher of Art and Graphic Design and acting Head of Department. This was a move prompted by having twins and not wanting to give up my teaching job. Before having my twins I was head of art and a teacher trainer working for 6 years with a cluster of academies in the Midlands. I am now doing cover work in Newcastle upon Tyne and looking out for a position that is right for me to develop and share my vision with. I am really excited for another fun filled year.
