Students have been given the title 'coastal environments' this week they experimented with ways to create textures to use within our coursework project. We used inks and created textures with Salt, rubbing alcohol, cling film over wet ink, blowing bubbles, screwing paper and inking over the creases.
Students practiced mixing a range of tints, tones and shades to create a range of tonal bars. They then looked at colour intensity to inform their artworks. Students created three rules to work to when creating a Sonja Delaunay inspired artworks. Pupils looked at ways to guide the viewers eye throughout their paintings by adding areas of interest using cool and warm colours to make areas stand out.
